ABOUT SPACE EIGHT
Brian Cox is a Seattle-based contract engineer who had worked in the special-effects industry in Los Angeles since 1995, and more recently at The Neuroscience Institute in La Jolla, CA (2005-2008) and at UC Irvine's Cognitive Robotics Lab (2008-2010). Since moving to Seattle in 2010, Brian has been designing consumer electronics and robot control systems, as well as pinball machines in his spare time.

Brian's robotics focus over the past decade is the loosely defined field of brain-based robots, biorobotics and cognitive robotics. Previous projects include a robotic hand, a swimming robot, a volleyball-playing robot and other research projects at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).

Brian has dual BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).
